For The Mr & Mrs

Happy Thursday! I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far, and and exceptionally wonderful day!

It's Terrifically Thrilling Thursday, at Shelly's Images and that means it is time for a new challenge!

This week, we have a tic tac toe challenge for you! These are so much fun because there are so many great possibilites for creating your project. There are some very easy to do combinations, so you won't want to miss out in playing along with us! You know you want your own chance to win Our coveted Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal awards. You'll have a chance at being our Top Hat Winner, too! There are coupons and prizes to be won. We even have a fabulous sponsor this week, too! We're being sponsored by the oh so fabulous Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty, who's giving one medal winner a $10 goodie package!

Hurry over and play along at Shelly's Images!

My card for today uses Diamond Ring, which is today's featured image from Shelly's Images! That means this fabulous image is on sale, today only. Hurry over to the Shelly's Images Store to pick up this image for your very own at this special price!

I've colored the Diamond Ring image with Promarkers and added some sparkle with a clearstar gelly roll pen as well as highlights with a gold metallic gel pen. I found this fabulous black paper embossed with metallic gold designs, in my stash, and knew it was perfect for this image. I then layered it with a strip of gold metallic paper printed with tiny gold stars, then added black sheer ribbon with white splatter spots, down the center of the gold metallic strip. (It's difficult to see in the pic because the light reflected on all the metallics and almost blurred out the ribbon to where you can see the lines of adhesive beneath the sheer ribbon - and they look gold! LOL) The black and white patterned strip down the right side is actually for Halloween and is by Martha Stewart. It really goes well with the other papers, I think, and doesn't even look Halloween! (Yay, me, for thinking outside the box! LOL) The black and white printed paper strip is accented with metallic gold flatback pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty. above the image, I embellished with metallic gold branches punched with the branch punch by Martha Stewart, then added a two layer flower. The sentiment is a clear stamp by Studio G.

I absolutely love how this turned out! This has become a favorite image of mine!

I originally created this is an Anniversary card, but it could also be used as a wedding card or even just to say "I Love You."

The theme at Penny's Paper-Crafty this time is Anything Goes! Wow! Talk about freedom to create! You can create anything your little heart desires, to play along with us this week! For my card layout, I am using the sketch at Fetch A Sketch. I've used the photo inspiration at Some Odd Girl for my color scheme, as well as some colors from the Sugared Spectrum color palette from Design Seeds. (Color Palette Shown Above) Of course, I just had to use a Some Odd Girl image! This is Star Bright Tia and she is just too cute! I've colored her with Promakers and added glitter and sparkle to her with the Clearstar Gelly Roll pen. The banner is punched using the new Banner punch by Stampin Up. I used some multicolored fiber in shades of pink to trim the top of the banner. All papers are from my stash. The new ruffled ribbon is from Stampin Up. The rhinestone bling is from Recollections. The image is popped up from the card with foam mounting tape.

It's Fall, Y'all!

Happy Monday, everyone! Wow, we had some fabulous weather here, yesterday! Sunny and 75 degrees! Unusual for late September, but I'll take what I can get! I'm looking forward to fall, but unfortunately not to the Winter weather. I absolutely hate snow!

Anywhoo, it's time for another challenge at Daisy's Doodles. This time, we are asking you to use fall colors and/or show us projects about giving thanks, to celebrate Canada's Thanksgiving. Our challenge runs for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to play along with us for your chance to win.

I used colors from the Rajasthani Hues color palette from Design Seeds. You can see the wonderful color palette, below.

My card layout today follows the sketch at Sketches By Carly. I just love Carly's sketches! They're so fun! This one, I admit, was a bit tricky for me, though. I used a piece of cardstock embossed with the Cuttlebug distressed stripes folder, then sponged Chocolate Chip ink over it, to enhance the embossed stripes and make them stand out. My leaves and pumpkins are all images from Daisy's Doodles. They've been colored with Promarkers. I found this fun fall colored paper in my stash and it seemed perfect for a fall creation. The leaf shaped gems came from Michael's in the dollar bin.

I found this cool purple tye dyed paper in my stash, as well as a small scrap of Halloween paper. The skeleton and sign are stickers from Echo Park's Apothecary collection. The border is punched with a punch by Fiskars. Green checkered ribbon is from my stash.

A Spooky Light In The Night

It's challenge time, again, at Shelly's Images! This time, its a color challenge. We want to see your projects using the colors brown, burnt orange and maroon. Please come over and join us at Shelly's Images to play along!

My card uses today's featured image, Light In The Night, from Shelly's Images. I absolutely fell in love with this image when it was released, and couldn't wait to play with it! It turned out to be perfect for this color scheme, too! The image is colored with Promarkers. I sponged around the image with Cherry Cobbler ink, by Stampin Up. Two corners of the image are adorned with these awesome glittered photo corners. The other two are embellished with a spider and web, and a big eyed bat. These Halloween papers from my stash are by Echo Park. The burnt orange patterned tape is by Martha Stewart's new Halloween collection. I've used this "Haunted" sticker from my stash, as my sentiment.

I used this sketch, below, (Sketch #7 From the Sketch Catalog at Sketch N Stash) for my card layout.

Sadly, this is my last project as Guest Designer for Corrosive. I've really enjoyed the opportunity to work with this awesome team! Thank you, ladies for the experience!

And now, here is my card:

I used sketch #64 (pictured below) from The Sketch Catalog at Sketch N Stash, for my card layout. The image and sentiment are from the Ahoy Matey Matt set from Dude Time Doodles. Matt is colored with Promarkers. I found this fun anchor print ribbon at Michael's and just knew it was perfect for this card. I tried to go as nautical as possible with what I had in my stash, so I ended up with a red, white and blue color scheme. I've added metallic silver to the mug and cutlass on the image. The sentiment is punched with oval and scalloped oval punches by Stampin Up, and mounted with foam mounting tape for dimension. The "wild" sentiment is a sticker from my stash. All the papers are from my stash, as well.

All Craft Your Passion DT members are going to be playing along in the hop with some very special guest designers.

What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at Craft Your Passion Challenges for a chance to win one of several prizes.

I have two projects for you, today, from two different sponsors. First, my card featuring a fun image from Bugaboo Stamps, who's offering a great prize as part of our hop:

My card layout uses Repeat Impressions Sketch S711. I've used this wonderful image from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with Promarkers. I used some new ruffled ribbon from Stampin Up. The cream colored panel is embossed with one of my new Cuttlebug folders. I cut out two fun bundles of clouds and pop dotted them onto my card, for dimension. The raindrops were punched with a Teardrop punch by Imagination, then outlined with a white opaque pen, then pop dotted them to the card. This turned out to be a great male card!

My next card uses this fabulous image called Klub Kid Witch by another of our wonderful sponsors, the wonderful Rick St. Dennis.

I've colored Klub Kid Witch with Promarkers and used a fun mix of Halloween papers from my stash. The glittered green ribbon is new, from Michael's.

Now that I've told you about my projects, let's get get to the next stop on the hop!

Next, stop by Jamie's blog, to see what she has in store for you today.

Remember, once you have hopped to all the stops and left your comments (we will be checking), it's your turn to show us your "Anything Goes" project.

Make sure to include a digital stamp somewhere on your project, and link up your project over at Craft Your Passion Challenges by Midnight CST September 21 to be eligible for the prizes. Winners will be announced on our Monday, September 26th Challenge post.

Oh Fabulous! It's Your Birthday!

Are you ready to show us what you got?! We hope you are, because that's the theme for our new challenge, today, at Shelly's Images! What does that mean exactly, you ask?! That means "Anything Goes!" We want to see anything and everything you create, and there is no limit to how many times you can enter, so you have no reason not to play along with us this week! No Excuses! Join us at Shelly's Images and Show Us What You Got! You could win a prize from the Shelly's Images Store!

Wow, I really stepped out of my comfort zone this time. Not only did I push myself to do a non-traditional birthday card, but I also did double paper piecing on the same image! This was my first time trying it and I love the effect! I think it turned out fabulous! I'm using this week's featured image, Glass Slipper. I paper pieced the pillow of the image in a black and white floral print, and then paper pieced the glass slipper in a red and white polka dot print. All papers are new and were bought specifically for this card. It was so much fun mixing all the patterns, and I love this black white and red combo! The sentiment is punched with a trio label punch by EK Success. The flowers and red dew drops are from my stash. I used some blingy, sparkly flourish stickers to add that extra special touch to the card. Faux stitching has been added with an opaque white pen by Inksentials.

The sentiment inside says, "May Your Birthday Be As Fabulous As You Are!"

This fun card for my cousin's birthday and put it in the mail to her this morning. She's going to love it since she's really into shoes and being girly!

You Little Devil

It's another Tableau Tuesday at Daisy's Doodles and we have more wonderful eye candy to show you! Remember that all the images used by the DT are available for purchase in the Daisy Doodles Store.

My card today uses the Cheeky Devil image by Daisy's Doodles. It makes a perfect Halloween card in non traditional colors. I used a pink and black combo and colored the image with Promarkers. I used some new sticky blingy flourishes to emebellish my card. I think this one turned out great with the layout I used!

And now, I'm thrilled to show you my first guest DT card:

My card layout follows the sketch at Papertake Weekly. This cute little fairy image is by Paper Makeup Stamps. I've colored her with Promarkers and added glitter and sparkle with a clearstar gelly roll pen. All papers are from my stash. I used this new lavender crochet trim, as well as a stick pin I made using pearls and bows. The sentiment says "A Fairy Special Birthday." (Sorry the easel is covering up the word Birthday on the bottom right corner. I didnt realize that when I posted the pic.)

Halloween Is Coming! Don't Lose Your Head!

So, here I am, again, with another Halloween card! Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and I'm already playing with ghost, goblins, witches and.. Yes! Even zombies! I made this card for my hubby who's really into zombies! (I know, I know, it sounds kind of weird! But I have to admit.. I love them, too!)

My card layout follows the sketch at The Deconstructed Sketch. I've used this awesome zombie, Zombie Christian, from Simply Betty Stamps. Zombie Christian is perfect for Halloween! He's colored with Promarkers. I've used my new Apothecary Emporium papers from Echo Park. The "Haunted" sentiment is a sticker from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium Elements sticker sheet. I matted the sticker with cardstock. The fibers are from my stash and seemed to be the perfect colors for this card! I attached Zombie Christian and the sentiment both with foam mounting tape, for dimension.
